The Spanish classical guitar has played a leading role in the creation of great composers.<\/span><\/p>

Its ability to be a small orchestra, with its own personality and multiple technical possibilities and nuances in its sound, has been an attraction for many of them. Despite this, the great classical music compositions that have been made throughout history have not had the guitar as a protagonist. There is very little music written for guitar and symphonic orchestra, compared to what has been written for piano and violin.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Concert in tribute to the Spanish classical guitar, in memory of \u00c1ngel G. Pi\u00f1ero.<\/b><\/span><\/p>

The concert took place at the Teatro Real in Madrid on 24 March 2022, with the participation of the Orquesta Cl\u00e1sica Santa Cecilia (Fundaci\u00f3n Excelentia), conducted by Jos\u00e9 Antonio Monta\u00f1o, considered by the specialized music press as “one of the most promising Spanish conductors of the moment”.<\/span><\/p>

The concert featured the participation of renowned international artists from the world of the Spanish classical guitar.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Guest artists<\/b><\/span><\/p>

The concert featured the participation of the winners and finalists of the last editions of the \u00c1ngel G. Pi\u00f1ero International Classical Guitar Competition, Luca Romanelli (Italy), Stanislav Steshenko (Ukraine) and the Chagall Quartet (Spain), who performed works by \u00c1ngel G. Pi\u00f1ero, as a contribution to his great career as a composer. The soprano Est\u00edbaliz Martyn (Spain) and the dancer Manuel Garrido (Spain), from the <\/span><\/span>Op\u00e9ra National de Paris<\/i><\/span><\/span>, performed as special guests. The guitarist Roman Zorkin (Russia) was scheduled to participate, but for reasons beyond his control, he was unable to travel to Madrid to take part in the tribute to \u00c1ngel G. Pi\u00f1ero.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
