On September 16, the Monteverdi Club (Calle Almagro, 36) in Madrid will host a new guitar concert in homage to the work of Ángel G. Piñero. On this occasion it will be the Paraguayan Angélica Rodríguez, winner of the VII edition of the Ángel G. Piñero International Classical Guitar Competition in 2021, who will delight us with her guitar and singing, interpreting original works by Ángel and other composers.
Club Monteverdi the select Arts Club, patronage and philanthropy, has already hosted several concerts on Ángel’s work in 2022; the first took place on January 15 with the Russian guitarist Roman Zorkin and the Chagall Quartet (Spain), as a prelude to the great concert that took place on March 24 at the Teatro Real in Madrid, and the second concert was on October 22 with Luca Romanelli, an Italian guitarist who is also a great connoisseur of the work of Maestro Ángel.
Angélica regularly collaborates in the dissemination of Ángel’s work. On May 24, he performed at the Andalusian Festival in San Juan de Luz (France) and on July 23 he will participate in the final of the X Ángel G. Piñero International Classical Guitar Competition in a concert at the Federico García Lorca Center Theater in Granada, along with the other finalists.

MONTEVERDI is a private Arts Club where lovers of music, painting, literature and gastronomy, among other disciplines, have a meeting place for the development of a common goal.
Likewise, the Club is a space where the company has a special place to promote the development of the Arts through philanthropy and patronage.
The club is located at number 36 Almagro street in Madrid. Located on the first floor of a stately building, its more than 1,000 square meters are made available to its members, where they can enjoy large meeting rooms, reading rooms, private rooms, a gastronomic area, an exhibition room and a room for recitals and concerts.

THE ARTIST
Guitarist: Angélica Rodríguez
Born in the city of Encarnación-Paraguay in 1994, Angelica received the title of Superior Professor of Classical Guitar in 2010 at the Municipal Art Center of the city of Encarnación. In 2012 she obtained the title as Superior Professor in lyrical singing at the Amadeus Conservatory in the same city.
In 2015 she moved to Italy to perfect his classical guitar and lyrical singing studies, graduating with the highest grade (110 e lode) and Honorable Mention in Classical Guitar at the "Guido Cantelli Conservatory" in the city of Novara-Italy, obtaining the Level II Laurea Magistrale under the direction of Maestro Bruno Giufreddi in 2017. In 2019 she graduated in lyrical singing, thus obtaining the II Level Laura Magistrale, under the guidance of Maestro Berardino Di Domenico, in the same conservatory.
Currently Angélica attends the Master of Musical Interpretation with Maestro Aniello Desiderio at the "Accademia Stefano Strata" in the city of Pisa. She also works as a Classical Guitar teacher at the Public Institute with musical direction in the city of Palermo, Sicily-Italy.
Angélica has obtained prizes in important international competitions among which stand out, among others:
- First prize in the "Lucas Braulo Areco International Contest" Argentina in 2012.
- Special prize for best interpretation of the obligatory work in the "Andrés Segovia International Classical Guitar Competition" La Herradura (Spain) in 2013.
- First prize in the "Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra Classica Rocco Peruggini" Italy in 2017.
- First prize in the "VII Angel G. Piñero International Guitar Competition" online edition (Spain) in 2021.
- “Carrer project” prize at the “III Swiss international Music Competition” online edition, Lugano, in 2023.
She has offered recitals at important festivals, among others: “Stagione Internazionale di Chitarra Classica” in the XI edition, organized by the Atelier Chitarristico Laudense in the city of Lodi, Italy in 2016; “Solo concert” for the commemoration of the national holidays of Paraguay at the National Library of Catalonia. Barcelona, Spain, in 2018; Classical guitar concert "Tribute to Women" at the Embassy of Paraguay in Rome, organized by the same embassy and the Paraguay-Italy Association in 2022.

Preludio azul
Dedicada a mi madre, víctima de la voracidad de la Guerra Civil española. Debe estar en el cielo y por eso lleva el nombre de Preludio Azul.
Evocación
Recuerdo de juventud de postguerra con mi hermano y su apoyo para yo fuera músico. En esta obra se refleja entre sus notas, la vida de sacrificios por salir adelante en nuestra juventud.
Murmullo musical
Es un murmullo musical en tono Mayor y menor simulando un chorro continuado de notas.
El viento de la vida
Preludio dedicado a la vida, su empuje y fuerza.
Caprichos
Es una obra espontánea, juguetona, hay un juego entre la melodía y el cromatismo que le da un interés especial

PRENSA
El 11 de noviembre a la 19:00 se organiza a través de la Asociación de guitarra clásica Ángel G. Piñero, un concierto de guitarra sola y guitarra y cuarteto de cuerdas en la sala Manuel de Falla de la SGAE. Es un concierto monográfico de parte de las obras de Piñero, que serán interpretadas por un concertista ucraniano premiado, Stalisnav Stetshenko y el cuarteto Chagall.
El programa incluye las obras Preludio Azul, El viento de la vida, Murmullo musical, Balada a una desconocida, Viaje Nocturno, Alegrías en el puerto, Canto a la serranía y Brisas de Cádiz.
