FESTIVAL MUSIQUES VIVANTES | VICHY (France)
July 114th, 2025 at 8:00 pm

For over thirty years, the Château de Randan, located in the heart of the Auvergne region, has been transformed each summer into a vibrant cultural hub thanks to the Musiques Vivantes Festival. This event, held in a unique natural and historical setting, has offered a varied and surprising programme that combines classical music, contemporary works, and original creations. The magic of the festival has resided in its ability to bring together internationally renowned artists and emerging young talents in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.

The castle grounds and its outbuildings have provided an exceptional backdrop for the concerts, which have taken place both indoors and outdoors, fostering an immersive and intimate musical experience. The festival has also stood out for its educational and participatory approach, organising workshops, meetings with musicians, and activities for audiences of all ages.

In this context, the concert on 14 July was one of the highlights of the 2025 programme, featuring guitarist Stanislav Steshenko, one of the regular performers in the Association’s concerts, and the Quatuor Métamorphoses. It was their second joint performance, following a previous concert organised by the Association on 4 June in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. The quartet, made up of Mathilde Potier and Pierre Liscia-Benaurenaut on violins, Jean-Baptiste Souchon-Graziani on viola, and Madeleine Douçot on cello, has stood out for its innovative approach and commitment to exploring the string quartet repertoire.

L’ESPACE
